PEMUG – an experienced general contractor specialising in structural and construction & assembly works throughout Poland – is looking for a person for the following position:

Cost Estimation Specialist

Workplace: Ruda Śląska, Poland

Responsibilities

  • Analysis of technical documentation.
  • Participation in site visits.
  • Preparing requests for quotations for suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating and selecting offers.
  • Preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates and pricing of works.
  • Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintaining the subcontractor and supplier database.

Requirements

  • Higher engineering education.
  • Experience in tendering / estimating construction and assembly works, including preparing cost estimates based on design documentation or site visits.
  • Knowledge of the construction materials market, prices and current trends.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Category B driving licence.
  • Communicative English.

Additional advantage

  • Knowledge of cost-estimating software (e.g. NORMA).
  • Knowledge of procedures covered by Polish Public Procurement Law.
